Herkimer Diamonds

Herkimer Diamonds are not actually diamonds, but quartz crystals discovered within exposed outcrops of  dolomite in and around Herkimer County, New York.  The "diamond" in their name is due to both their clarity and naturally faceted crystals. 

Herkimer Quartz "Diamonds" are an exceptional healing crystal and are regarded as the most powerful of all quartz crystals.  The are used in meditations and dream therapies.
