Aquamarine
Aquamarine, translated from the Latin, 'water of the sea' is arguably the most 'precious' of all the semi-precious stones. A beryl stone, its colour from pale blue green to deep blue are caused by the element iron.
Mined in Brazil, Zambia, Afghanistan and Madagascar, Aquamarine is the birth stone of the month of March. Aquamarine is also a chakra stone, balancing the throat chakra (Vishuddha) to aid self-expression and creativity.
